this is the last set of photos i'm featuring from this book. mcgavin doesn't have too many landscapes in the set, but i do feel of all the photos in the book, these are the strongest. they really capture a sort of brooding quality that you don't often see in new zealand landscape photos, and i think it could be related to the film stock. i also am not certain how often tornadoes hit the south island, but the photo certainly is dramatic.
